An exhibition celebrating young artists' creativity opens at The Winter Garden, Sheffield on Tuesday 29th August, 3pm for a week.
The Young Artists Open Exhibition is a massive celebration of creativity, showcasing the talent and creativity we have in the City. A callout was issued inviting young artists aged 4-19 years from across the city to submit their artwork and the response has been amazing with over 100 pieces set to be displayed. This open invitation has seen artwork created at home, with friends, and in schools and groups and includes a wide variety of mediums, such as mixed media, drawing, painting, sculpture, and origami.
A collaboration between Ignite Imaginations, a participatory arts charity and Sheffield Healthy Holidays, this open exhibition offers a unique opportunity for young people to see their work displayed publicly at an iconic local venue.
In addition, through this partnership, Ignite Imaginations has been able to offer over 100 hours of free creativity to young people across the city this summer. Over 19 professional artists have delivered workshops in 8 schools and 4 community groups across Sheffield. As well as creating individual artworks to take home, the groups have worked with the artists to create collaborative pieces, which will also be available for viewing at the exhibition.

Young Artists Exhibition opens at The Winter Garden, Sheffield on Tuesday 29th August 2023 at 3pm and runs until Tuesday 5th September 2023 at 3pm. Free to attend and open to all, we hope the people of Sheffield will come along and enjoy these community artworks.
Ignite Imaginations are inviting families to come along and join in their FREE creative fun in The Winter Garden on Thursday 31st August 10-12 noon or 1-3pm or Friday 1st September 10-12 noon or 1-3pm. There will be an opportunity to experience dance, drama and art activities across 2hours, which is also part of the Sheffield Showcase.
