REIMAGINE - Four artists, four experiences
We worked with community groups, schools and partners to inspire and inform a series of immersive art experiences across the city.
Art at the Heart
We collected stories and anecdotes from the community about their COVID experiences, thoughts and feelings. These feelings and words were transformed into four community art installations that will remain as a legacy of these unprecedented times. The pieces transform a small corner of each community with a chance to reflect, a place to have hope and somewhere to smile.
SPARKS at Christmas
We worked alongside the over 50's across the city to co-design, co-produce and co-deliver a relevant and meaningful Christmas Meal experience event that connected people over 50 to their community and the city.
This project was supported by partnerships developed with the Age Better in Sheffield core team, other ABiS Delivery Partners and community partners and venues.
Adopt a Care Home
We worked in care homes with local primary schools and nurseries on this intergenerational project. Adopt a care home aims to reduce isolation and loneliness by connecting participants through creative activities. We have been dancing, singing and doing artwork in the sessions.
A group of 20 volunteer engineers worked with professional artists and five community groups exploring the relationship between art and engineering.
A Children In Need funded project spanning three years looking back on what life was like 'Before Now' in local primary schools and libraries.
Working with 16 - 25 year old's helping them to gain the skills and experience needed for a career in the arts.
A two-year programme of adult art classes in Sheffield and rural surrounding areas.
