Art at the Heart
Autumn/Winter 2020
​
We collected stories and anecdotes from the community about their COVID experiences, thoughts and feelings. These feelings and words were transformed into four community art installations that will remain as a legacy of these unprecedented times. The pieces transform a small corner of each community with a chance to reflect, a place to have hope and somewhere to smile.

SPARKS at Christmas
December 2020
We worked alongside the over 50's across the city to co-design, co-produce and co-deliver a relevant and meaningful Christmas Meal experience event that connected people over 50 to their community and the city.
This project was supported by partnerships developed with the Age Better in Sheffield core team, other ABiS Delivery Partners and community partners and venues.
Adopt a Care Home
We worked in care homes with local primary schools and nurseries on this intergenerational project. Adopt a care home aims to reduce isolation and loneliness by connecting participants through creative activities. We have been dancing, singing and doing artwork in the sessions.

Back Then
A group of 20 volunteer engineers worked with professional artists and five community groups exploring the relationship between art and engineering.

Before Now
A Children In Need funded project spanning three years looking back on what life was like 'Before Now' in local primary schools and libraries.

Growth
Working with 16 - 25 year old's helping them to gain the skills and experience needed for a career in the arts.
Villages
A two-year programme of adult art classes in Sheffield and rural surrounding areas.

Canvas of Stories
Autumn Carnival
Annual collaboration with Sharrow Community Forum, South Yorkshire Police, local schools and community groups to bring light, fun and community spirit to the streets of Sharrow around Bonfire Night.
Mozart and Me
A project working with community groups across South Yorkshire to explore and respond creatively to Mozart's music
We Are All Makers
A creative skills development programme for adults facing barriers to opportunities where they have been able to explore their artistic skills and develop their own projects.
Everyday Stories
An annual programme providing free after school or holiday provision in local libraries and community settings for children and their families.

A partnership with Compassionate Sheffield saw us working with 5 community groups where we explored events, emotions and memories connected to life and death.

Intergenerationl project engaging local primary aged children and sheltered housing residents
Somewhereto_
A programme supporting young people across South Yorkshire to access space, support and funds to develop their creative talents
Pictures at an Exhibtion
A partnership between Music in the Round and Ignite Imagintaions bringing classical music to life through visual arts
Reconnect - Art and Science
Working with University of Sheffield academics we bought areas of research on the body and mind to life through art installations

Each year Ignite runs a conference exploring connections with Imagination and creativity for our local creative community

In 2021, Ignite Imaginations launched the We Are All Makers programme, focussing on creative skills development, for adults.

Young Artists Open Exhibition
​We work with 100's of children every year through Sheffield Healthy holidays and in 2023 we showcased our city's amazing young creatives as part of an open exhibition
