Ignite Imaginations is recruiting:

Freelance Online Festival Coordinator - Talking About Our Generation

Hours of work:  An average of 2 days per week over 4 month period, increasing in run up to and during festival.

Fee: £3,600

Freelance Contract: January-April 2021


Do you want to enable communities in Sheffield to feel connected through participating in art and culture?  Could you work with people over 50 to co-ordinate a successful intergenerational online festival?

 

This role will involve working alongside over 50’s across the city to co-design, co-produce and co-deliver a relevant and meaningful online arts and culture festival that connects people to their community and the city. This will be supported by partnerships developed with the Age Better in Sheffield core team, other ABiS Delivery Partners and community partners and venues.

 

Talking About Our Generation is a community arts and culture festival with a focus on shared histories and people power. The festival will be in April 2021 and could take place via online platforms such as Zoom, Vimeo, Kast and Facebook.

 

We are looking for someone with:

 

  • Knowledge and passion for festivals, art, culture and community

  • Strong digital skills and experience in creating engaging online experiences

  • Experience of project management in the community, including working with volunteers

  • Great communication skills with a wide range of people and partners

  • Experience of partnership working and evaluating projects.

  • Good administration skills and experience in the arts or events sector.

 

Ignite Imaginations is a community arts charity based in Sheffield. We work with professional artists to deliver a wide range of high quality, creative activities across the city and surrounding areas. We create opportunities for people of all ages to participate in creative arts projects in the community. Our activities inspire individuals and strengthen communities.
