Create your own Autumn Lantern

Updated: Oct 6, 2023

Get ready for this year's Autumn Carnival, happening on Friday 3rd November at 4pm in Sharrow. We're excited to have as many people as possible join us for the annual celebrations. To help you get involved, we're sharing this guide for making your own lantern at home.

The first, the Acorn Lantern, created by our artist Charlie uses a lampshade as a base, and some materials may need purchasing if you don't have them already. The second, is a beautiful Autumn Lantern, by our artist Sara and is created by upcycling a jar.

Follow our guide for step-by-step instructions and get ready to light up the night at the Autumn Carnival!

And of course, this is just for inspiration, if you have an idea igniting your imagination then why not give it a go!

We'd love to see your creations, you can share them with us on social media or get in touch by emailing enquiries@igniteimaginations.org.uk, and of course, we'd love to see you and your lantern at the Autumn Carnival!
