Emma firmly believes that meaningful arts and cultural experiences can positively impact lives. For over 14 years, she has managed and delivered creative learning programmes with and for people from a variety of backgrounds. Career highlights include shaping Derby Theatre's 'Learning Theatre' as their first Creative Learning Associate, working with women in prison with Clean Break Theatre Company and working in the communities of Hounslow while she managed the Creative People and Places (ACE) programme there.
Emma has previously been a Trustee for the London Waterways Partnership, Canal and River Trust. She has also volunteered for Stonewall, the leading LGBTQ+ Charity and Alzheimer's Research UK; most recently coordinating 'The Great Race for Alzheimer's' in Hull where teams of people raced for 17 hours around the city completing challenges on their journey.
In her spare time, Emma loves to try new things, adventuring with her baby, listening to stories from family and friends and reading.
After studying Psychology at Sheffield University in 2002, I worked for a number of charities including Barnardo’s (mentoring young people), Safe@Last (fundraiser) and Leeds City Council (organising large arts event) before becoming CEO at Ignite Imaginations in 2008. I have previously been on the steering group for SNAP and Sheffield Arts and Wellbeing Network and board member and chair for the Sheffield Creative Guild.
I love painting, walking, climbing, generally being outside and gardening! Oh and dancing!

Lisa looks after our marketing and communications from web updates and newsletters to press coverage and social media updates.
Lisa has a CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing and has experience in a range of sectors. Working at Ignite Imaginations has given her the opportunity to grow and develop her expertise in third sector marketing.
During her time at the organisation Lisa has been involved in the marketing of various projects ranging from virtual workshops, to the Ambassador programme and the incredible art installations and experiences of Art at the Heart and Reimagine.
One of her favourite things about the role is hearing and sharing the stories of people who have participated in an Ignite Imaginations event.
Outside of work Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, walking in the peak district, playing in Endcliffe Orchestra and being part of the Dronfield Woodhouse Well-Dressing team.
Vicki has always been involved with many aspects of the arts since a young age and is very passionate about getting children and young people to learn through creative activities.
She started out as a volunteer with Ignite Imaginations just after graduating from the University of Huddersfield in 2012 and has been a member of staff since January 2014. Vicki loves being involved in the variety of projects Ignite Imaginations offers.
As well as this, Vicki also works freelance in events and theatre for a number of organisations and festivals both local and national. You can usually find her teaching children to sing and dance on a Saturday morning or running around at Film festivals.
Katie is a passionate believer in volunteering and getting involved in her local community. She has been working as Ignite Imaginations’ administrator since September 2011. Before that she had a variety of work roles, including admin, marketing and working with children and volunteers at after school and holiday clubs.
Since joining the organisation she has increased her involvement in recruiting and inducting new volunteers and uses her love or writing to publicise the organisation through press releases and social media. She enjoys working for such a creative and nurturing organisation that aims to bring art to everyone.
