Darnall Well Being, Sheffield Culture Consortium and Tickets for Good are working with Darnall communities to develop ideas for a programme of work to celebrate the diversity of local communities through creative and cultural activity.
We are working locally to find out what creative and cultural activities people in Darnall currently enjoy and what else they would like experience.
Ignite Imaginations will provide services to engage a wide range of people who live and work in Darnall in a creative consultation process to explore their needs and ideas for a programme of locally based cultural activity. The findings from this consultation process will inform a bid to the Arts Council England for Stage 2 of the Darnall Community of Culture project. This is expected to be for a 2-year programme of cultural activity that promotes well-being, includes use of empty shops and premises for locally based cultural activities, and develops links to enable Darnall people to access Sheffield city centre cultural opportunities.
Where is the Wishing Tree?
We recently commissioned artist Jordanna Farrimond to create an installation that the people of Darnall could interact with to tell us their thoughts on:
What do you already do to be creative in Darnall?
What activities would you like to see more of?
The Wishing Tree will be popping up around Darnall over the next few months. Hover over the picture to find out where it is now!
