FREE WORKSHOPS AND INVOLVEMENT IN TWO CITY WIDE FESTIVALS

We have an exciting opportunity for groups and schools to get involved in two upcoming events that we're running.

One in conjunction with Music in the Round and their festival for Chamber Music, and the other to take part in free creative sessions as part of Migration Matters Festival.

COMBATING LONELINESS

Ignite Imaginations is supporting activities across the city that help bring older, isolated people together, helping to decrease loneliness in people aged 50 and over.

Loneliness has become such a problem in our society that Teresa May created a new minister for loneliness last week to tackle the issue.

START UP SUCCESS - PHILLIPS STORY

We have been working with many people aged 50+ to help them 'Start Up' something in their local area. Phillip has started and run the Mosborough History group, read his story here a year on. 

DOES IMAGINATION MAKE US HAPPIER?

In partnership with the University of Sheffield's department of Psychology we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a research grant from Arts Council England for research into the question does imagination make us Happier?

ROYAL BRITISH LEGION FUNDING

We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in receiving funding from The Royal British Legion to run an intergenerational project using creativity to share service men’s unheard stories.

 

Starting in the New Year the project will work with groups of ex and current service men, their children and families to explore and share their memories creatively with each other.
